Loyalty & rewards

Punch cards or points, a reward catalog, VIP tiers, and honest refunds.

One program per business, set up in Settings → Loyalty. Pick the shape that matches how your regulars think:

Punch card

"Buy 5 drinks, get one free." Choose what earns a punch (everything, or one category), how many punches to a reward, and what the reward is. Punches count automatically when the item is attached to a sale with a customer on it — no stamps, no apps to explain.

Points

Points per dollar, spent from a reward catalog you define ("Free range bucket — 200 points", "$10 off — 500 points"). At the register, an eligible customer's chip shows their balance; rewards they can afford light up and apply through the normal discount machinery, so reports stay honest.

VIP tier (points mode)

Set a lifetime-points threshold and a multiplier (1.25×–3×). Regulars who cross the line earn every future point faster — the crossing sale itself earns at the normal rate, VIP starts the next visit. VIPs get a badge at the register and in their portal.

Refunds claw back points

Refund a sale and the points it earned come back out automatically — proportionally for partial refunds, never taking a balance below zero. A big enough refund can un-VIP someone. No manual cleanup.

What the customer sees

Their portal shows the live balance, punch progress, VIP status, distance to VIP, and the reward catalog with checkmarks on what they can already afford. See The golfer portal.
