Common questions & fixes
The short list — sign-in, missing menus, odd numbers, and hardware.
"The verification email just sends me back to the start"
Fixed — verify links now work from any device (phone mail app included) and either sign the golfer straight in or say exactly what to do next. If a link sits unopened too long it expires; the sign-in screen says so and offers a fresh one.
"I can't see [some page] in the menu"
Two gates: your business's modules (Settings → Modules — e.g. no Tee Sheet for a coffee shop) and your role's permissions (Settings → Team). If you should have access, an owner or admin can grant it in under a minute.
"A price or name looks stale"
The app updates itself, but a browser that's been open for days can hold an old version. Hard refresh — Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) — and it will match the server again.
"The drawer won't close"
Almost always one of two things: offline sales still syncing (wait for the banner to clear — the count would be wrong without them) or an uncounted denomination in the closing count.
"The card reader isn't connecting"
Readers need the same network as the register and about 30 seconds after power-on. Settings → Payments shows reader status; re-pairing takes one tap. Keyed entry and QR pay both work while a reader sulks.
"A customer paid online but I don't see it"
Online payments settle through Stripe and land within seconds. Check Sales first (it may have simply scrolled), then Stripe's dashboard. If Stripe shows it and Aced doesn't, that's a bug — report it.
"My teammate's invite link says it's not valid"
Invite links expire after 14 days and die when a new invite is created for the same email. Fix: Settings → Team → Web Logins, create a fresh invite, send the new link. Also check they're accepting with the exact email that was invited — the link refuses any other account.
"Why did one card get a surcharge and another didn't?"
That's the card-cost program working correctly: credit cards pay the surcharge, debit and prepaid cards legally can't and are detected automatically. If you'd rather nobody paid it, turn the program off in Settings → Payments.
"A contact-form message never arrived"
Check the Messages inbox (sidebar, or App & Website on golf courses) — form submissions land there, not in your email. If a visitor says they submitted and nothing shows, ask them to try again; the form confirms on-screen when it sends.
