Rain checks — full and partial

Weather ends a round: issue the exact value owed, on paper, in seconds.

When weather ends a paid round, issue a rain check from the tee sheet: click the group, then the umbrella next to any paid golfer.

Full or partial

The modal offers three amounts:

  • Round not played — the full fee they paid.
  • Played 9 of 18 — the fair math, done for you: what they paid minus your 9-hole rate for their own profile and cart choice. If they paid $54 riding 18 and your riding 9 rate is $30, the rain check is $24. If you don't sell 9-hole rounds, it falls back to half the paid fee and says so.
  • Custom — any amount up to what they paid ("we made it to the 13th").

How it pays out

  • The golfer gets a printed slip with a code, good for one year.
  • Saved customers get the value tied to their account; walk-in guests get a bearer voucher — whoever brings the code back redeems it.
  • At the register, redeeming the code folds the value into store credit, which then pays for anything — a future round, range balls, a sandwich.

The books stay honest

Issuing a rain check books a liability; redeeming it moves that liability into store credit. Nothing disappears, and your accountant can trace every voucher from the day it rained to the day it was spent.
